As body-worn electronic devices become more and more pervasive, manufacturers are looking for better ways to seal and protect these complex sensor assemblies. Many applications require encapsulation of delicate components like batteries or fragile Integrated Circuits ( IC’s). Overmolded wearable products also require IP67 ingress protection while being subjected to things like UV, sunscreen, bug spray, and more. All these technical requirements must be satisfied, but in a way that looks and feels good to the consumer.
